A West Virginia man is dealing with a decade behind bars after police say he beat his pregnant girlfriend with a baseball bat and injected her with methamphetamine.

Based on a prison criticism obtained by WOWK, 21-year-old Kyle Stowers struck his girlfriend, who was 37 weeks pregnant, a number of instances within the head, face and torso in a violent assault on Dec. 21 at their residence in Charleston, WV.

Police say Stowers used a wood baseball bat within the assault.

Earlier than fleeing the scene, Stowers “unwillingly injected what [the victim] states was methamphetamine into her proper arm,” the West Virginia Gazette Mail studies.
