A Brooklyn trainer accused of chomping down on a scholar’s hand solely did so as a result of the kid bit her first, her lawyer stated Saturday.
Shavonne Johnson, 37, was charged with assault Friday after a college security officer at Public Faculty 66 in Canarsie observed some redness on the kindergartner’s hand, prosecutors stated.
Johnson, who was a substitute, bit the 5-year-old as a result of he wouldn’t cease biting her in school, her legal professional, Andrew Stoll, stated.
“The system ought to get behind its lecturers,” Stoll stated.
A distraught Johnson stated nothing as she left Brooklyn Prison Courtroom after her arraignment.
She has been fired.
