Two Georgia residents were identified Saturday as the victims of an apparent double homicide near Ridgeland.

A passerby stumbled upon the bodies of Glenn Garett Settles, 22, of Jesup, Ga., and Watson Kyle Allen, 23, of Bloomingdale, Ga., inside a pickup truck Friday afternoon on Tutens Landing Road, said Jasper County Coroner Martin Sauls.

Sauls said Settles and Allen died as the result of gunshot wounds.

The deaths are being viewed as homicides by the Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division, which aided in processing the crime scene and collecting evidence Friday, according to authorities.

No other information about the shootings or possible suspects was released Saturday.
