Wild Wing celebrates birthday

Wild Wing Cafe is staging a "big bash" to celebrate its 11th birthday. '
"Our birthday is always a special time at Wild Wing," said Dianne Crowley, co-founder of the restaurant. "It's as much of a party for our employees as our customers because we're so proud of being a part of Hilton Head Island for so long."'
Patrick Blanchard and the Big Mighty take the stage tonight during Free Cake Friday. '
Tokyo Joe will lead the toga party set for Saturday. Customers are encouraged to dress for the occasion. '
Sunday is Wingstock, an annual daylong event packed with music, food, fun and prizes. '
Six bands will perform throughout the day, beginning outdoors and then moving inside at dusk. '
A parking lot cookout is planned for the afternoon, with food served outdoors and restaurant service indoors.'
Blinding Sol will kick off the music at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the outdoor deck. Wil Seabrook takes the stage at 4:30 p.m., and Spartanburg's Dezeray's Hammer performs at 6:30 p.m.'
The music then moves indoors with TrickKnee performing at 8 p.m., Tokyo Joe at 10 p.m. and 5 Way Friday at midnight. '
Admission to all events is free. '
Wild Wing Cafe opened its doors in 1990 on Pope Avenue. Now a decade later, there are Wild Wing cafes in Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Greenville, Marietta and Athens, Ga., and Charlottesville, Va. '
