On behalf of the families we serve, our staff and board of directors, I would like to thank the Wexford Plantation Charitable Foundation for awarding Memory Matters a grant to support our low-income scholarship program.
These funds will help families who struggle with the care of their loved ones with dementia and who have limited resources to access services in the community.
We are grateful to those in Wexford Plantation who so generously donated to their foundation in order to provide grants to local charities. This is their inaugural year, and we wish to congratulate them for their philanthropic efforts. By multiplying the power of single donors, they are effectively creating a sustainable grant-making entity.
Memory Matters is a local nonprofit organization that offers dementia-specific day care, support and resources for caregivers, and education and advocacy for the community (www.memory-matters.org).
