The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce 2013 Leadership Class will help raise money for improvements to DuBois Park in Bluffton, including new playground equipment in the shape of a shrimp boat.
The organization will sell "hand print" pavers for $140 each.
The public can attend a free community event March 23 at which children and pets can have their hand prints (or paws) cast into cement pavers that will be permanently displayed at the park. The event also will include food and games for children.
The leadership class also seeks corporate and individual sponsors. Levels include "admiral" for $3,000 or more, "commodore" for $1,501 to $2,999, "captain" for $501 to $1,500, "lieutenant" for $251 to $500 and "deckhand" for $50 to $250.
