A driver was pried from a vehicle and sent to a local hospital after a wreck Monday morning on Bluffton Parkway briefly tied up traffic, according to the Bluffton Township Fire District.
The two-car accident occurred at about 7:15 a.m. between Simmonsville and Buck Island roads, according to a news release.
Firefighters needed about 10 minutes to extricate one person from a car, the release said. Capt. Randy Hunter said the person was taken to a local trauma center with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The wreck was cleared by 8:30 a.m., Hunter said. The names of those involved in the accident were not released.
