For years I have enjoyed Jay Karr's staff photos, and Thursday's "gliding into the sunset" was yet another one of my favorites.

The newspaper is so fortunate to have him on staff. He has an exceptional eye for the beauty of our surroundings, our wildlife and many times the pleasures and sorrows of our residents. We are so lucky to have him.
