Jacob Coltrane's Twitter avatar features the Hilton Head Island High point guard dribbling around the perimeter in the season opener against Whale Branch.
It's a fitting picture. The junior has made a living around the three-point line this season. He's second on the team in 3-pointers made with 30, only trailing sharpshooter Aaron Frazier, and hopes to improve upon his 32 percent mark from long range next season.
But the Seahawks standout has done his part this year for coach Ken Updike. He's third on the team with 9.4 points per game, second in assists (2.5) and third with 1.3 steals per contest.
Coltrane will no doubt lead Hilton Head High next season, as starters Michael Julian, James Sanders and Chris MacMurray depart for college. The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette caught up with the future senior this week and ran him through the Two-Minute Drill.
