Kathleen Parker's Jan. 28 column on women in combat was very insightful and provided a very strong argument for not putting our nation's daughters, moms, granddaughters and other women in harm's way.
Thank you for sharing such a well-written piece, and I am hopeful that her opinions are reaching the ears of Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other decision-makers in the military before our country starts down a very dangerous road.
