Coosa Elementary School and Lowcountry Running Company are collecting shoes to send to Africa.
Drop off gently worn shoes at Lowcountry Running Company, 95A Factory Creek Court on Lady's Island. Men's, women's and children's sandals; low heel dress; casual and athletic shoes will be accepted. Flip-flops, Crocs and damaged shoes will not.
The school will receive $1 from Lowcountry Running Company for the first 200 pairs of shoes donated. The shoes will be donated through Rerun Shoes, which supplies micro-entrepreneurs in Mali, Guinea and Liberia with shoes they refurbish and bring to market.
