A water-main break in Hilton Head Plantation blocked traffic Tuesday on Seabrook Drive near the Spring Lake Recreation Area.
The road between Whooping Crane Way and the entrance to the Plantation House was expected to remained closed until this morning, according to the plantation's website.
Hilton Head Public Service District workers repaired the line. Work was occurring to shore up a section of the road undermined by the break, a plantation news release said.
Vehicles can still reach the recreation area and Plantation House through the main entrance of the Plantation House. Those traveling north on Whooping Crane Way should use High Bluff Road to get to Dolphin Head Drive and Seabrook Drive south of the Wye.
