Beaufort product Devin Taylor is one of seven University of South Carolina senior standouts that will participate in postseason all-star games.

Taylor, a 6-foot-8, 267-pound defensive end, logged 45 tackles, including 8 1/2 tackles for loss in 2012. He finished his Carolina career with 35 1/2 tackles for loss and 18 1/2 sacks, ranking among the school's top 10 in both categories.

A defensive end, Taylor will be joined in the Jan. 19 East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Fla., by center T.J. Johnson and linebacker DeVonte Holloman. The NFL Network will telecast that contest, which kicks off at 4 p.m. at Tropicana Field.

Taylor and Johnson will play for the East, while Holloman will play for the West.

Kicker Adam Yates and defensive tackle Byron Jerideau have been selected to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl (6 p.m. Jan. 19, The Home Depot Center, Carson, Calif., ESPN2).

Linebacker Shaq Wilson will play for the Stars team in the inaugural Raycom College Football All-Star Classic (3 p.m. Jan. 19, Montgomery, Ala., CBS Sports Network).

Safety D.J. Swearinger will participate in the Senior Bowl (4 p.m. Jan. 26, Mobile, Ala., NFL Network).
