BEAUFORT SPORTFISHING AND DIVING CLUB MEETING: When: Jan. 10; Where: Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club, Lady's Island; Time: Social at 6:30 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m.; Notes: The awards for the 2012 Year Round Fishing Tournament will be presented. In addition, representatives from DNR will unveil the 2013 oyster restoration program. BEAUFORT COUNTY PALS AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM: What: Registration for Beaufort County Parks and Leisure Services After-School Program; Who: Kindergarten through fifth grade; Where: Burton Wells Recreation Center in Beaufort and Buckwalter Recreation Center in Bluffton; Cost: $75 per month, extra fees will apply for full days of after-school care when school is not in session. Notes: The program is from 3-6 p.m. on school days, and includes homework assistance, arts & crafts, snacks and recreation. RUN WITH THE RAVENS 3 MILE RESOLUTION RUN: What: Second annual Run With The Ravens 3 Mile Resolution Run; When: 3:30 p.m., Jan. 20; Where: Pinckney Colony fields; Cost: $10 per runner/walker; Notes: The run/health walk raises money for St. Gregory the Great Catholic School. Strollers allowed. First 300 participants receive a SGGCS water bottle. There are refreshments, music and door prizes. Prizes will be awarded to top three overall males and females. HILTON HEAD ISLAND HALF MARATHON, 10K & 5K: What: 11th annual Publix Hilton Head Island Half Marathon, 10K & 5K; When: 8 a.m., Feb. 9; Where: Jarvis Creek Park; Cost: $65 per runner through Feb. 4, $75 per runner for late registration; Notes: The half marathon starts runs through two parks and crosses the Broad Creek. The 10K annd 5K each begin and end at Jarvis Creek Park. A percentage of proceeds will go to benefit three local charities including: Hilton Head Island High School Athletics, The Hilton Head Rotary Club and National Alliance on Mental Illness.
