A missing Bluffton man was found safe Sunday at a mission in Ridgeland, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Luke Smyth, 33, was last seen by his mother at their Lake Linden home at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. She reported him missing after noticing he was gone when she returned from shopping at about 7:30 p.m.
The Sheriff's Office asked the public for help Friday in finding him, saying Smyth requires regulation of multiple medications.
Sgt. Robin McIntosh said Smyth was found at Christ Central Mission in Ridgeland where mission workers notified authorities after learning he had been reported missing.
McIntosh didn't know how Smyth got to the mission.
"He was safe and in good health," McIntosh said. "He was picked up by a family member."
