A 22-year-old Beaufort woman arrested in August for multiple thefts and burglaries in the Mossy Oaks area was sentenced to four years in prison Dec. 17.
Lindsey Diana Jones was charged with six counts of second-degree burglary, five counts of third-degree burglary, one count of attempted burglary, three counts of petit larceny, and one count each of grand larceny and obtaining goods under false pretenses. Of the 17 charges she faced, nine were dropped by the prosecution. She was given credit for time served for four charges, according to court records.
She was given a four-year concurrent sentence for one count of second-degree burglary and three counts of third-degree burglary.
Jones was transferred from the Beaufort County Detention Center to the all-female Graham (Camille Griffin) Correctional Institution in Columbia. Her release date is set for Jan. 27, 2015, but she is eligible for parole Aug. 27, 2013, according to the S.C. Department of Corrections website.
