NPR's "All Things Considered" will feature a Bluffton coffee shop during its 5 p.m. show today and Sunday.
Corner Perk, located at 142 State Road, got national attention last January after one woman started anonymously paying for future customers' coffee. Since then, shop owner Josh Cooke said customers regularly "pay it forward," including some Canadians who made a point to visit the shop during vacations and contribute $20 to future customers.
So far, almost $2,000 has been "paid forward" by more than 100 people, Cooke said.
NPR featured Corner Perk's original "Pay it Forward" customer Jan. 15, and decided to revisit the topic after it became one of the most popular stories of the year, according to a news release.
