It still is not clear when H.E. McCracken Middle School principal Phillip Shaw might return to work, a Beaufort County School District spokesman said Friday.
Earlier this week, district officials said they expected an announcement to be made regarding Shaw, who has been on leave from the school since Nov. 8. However, spokesman Jim Foster said Friday the district had not been able to meet with Shaw -- a meeting that needs to take place before any announcement is made.
Shaw will be out until a review of policies and procedures at the school is completed, district officials have said. There's no deadline for that review's completion, district officials, including interim superintendent Jackie Rosswurm, have said.
