Trinity Collegiate 44, Beaufort Academy 22: Beaufort Academy took an early lead, but Trinity changed up its defense and pulled away to double up the Eagles.
Beaufort Academy (1-4) was ahead 10-9 in the first half, successfully breaking Trinity's full-court pressure. Trinity then focused its pressure on Eagles star Miranda Weslake and broke open the game.
Weslake finished with 12 points to lead the Eagles, and Kiana Fortner added eight points.
Beaufort Academy hosts Patrick Henry on Friday night, and then will take on a travel team from Down Under at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Hilton Head Prep: The Dolphins competed in the school's first multi-team match Wednesday in the Columbia area, placing third out of 12 teams in their division. Heathwood Hall finished first with a score of 422, Orangeburg Prep was second at 390 and Prep was third with a 367.
Competing on the Dolphins' five-person team were Shaun Topper, Brayden Mitchell, James Leonard, Greg Warren and John Sheehan.
