Hugo's Seafood & Steakhouse was voted the winner of the best cuisine category at Friday's 23rd Annual Taste of the Season sponsored by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce.

Hugo's won with its "Surf n' Turf Lollipops."

Second place went to Marley's Island Grill for its "Savory Surf & Turf Rockefeller."

Honorable mention for best dessert went to Flatbread Grill.

The Beach House -- A Holiday Inn Resort received honorable mention for best decor.

The event was held at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa, where more than 35 restaurants competed.
