The Coastal Discovery Museum will host a "Just for Kids" event from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 8.

Children can create holiday items and Lowcountry crafts with locally found materials, according to the museum.

Cost is $7 a child and reservations are not required. Parents must remain with children at all times. The museum is at 70 Honey Horn Drive.
