A 16-year-old boy walking near Julia Drive and Marshland Road on Hilton Head Island was robbed Friday by a group of men, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
The victim reported that a small, white, four-door vehicle approached at about 6 p.m., and its occupants yelled at him asking for marijuana, according to a news release.
When he tried to get away, the car followed, and four to five men jumped out, taking money from his pants pockets before fleeing. The victim was unharmed.
The attackers are described only as four or five Hispanic men about 18 years old. Anyone with information can call investigator Sgt. J. Adams at 843-255-3415 or county dispatch at 843-524-2777.
