The AARP Tax-Aide Program, which helps prepare tax returns for low- and moderate-income taxpayers who are 60 or older, has scheduled sessions for this year's tax season:

  • Hilton Head Island library: 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays from Feb. 7 to April 17.

  • SHARE Senior Center: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays from Feb. 2 to April 12.

  • Bluffton library: 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays from Feb. 2 to April 12.

    • Attendees should bring last year's tax return, W-2 forms, 1099 and 1098 forms, and any information concerning real-estate and personal-property taxes, medical expenses and insurance, charitable contributions, and estimated tax payments. If filing a joint return, both parties must be present to sign the return.
