To The Packet:'
Enough people have called me asking about contributions to the memory of Charles Fraser to cause me to write this public letter.'
The Fraser family has suggested contributions to the professor chair at Clemson University in memory of Charles. The name of the chair is: The Hilton Head Island/Charles E. Fraser Professorship in Community Design and Human Ecology.'
This is a $250,000 chair that provides for studies in this new area to the Clemson School of Architecture. Including previous donations and those committed since Charles' death, approximately $210,000 has been received. It seems highly likely and most appropriate that the full amount may now be secured. This is a wonderful tribute to Charles and it provides architectural students with the benefit of his work and the work of many development executives who began their careers under Charles' guidance.'
Donations should be sent to: Ms. Jane Greene, executive director, Clemson Advancement Foundation for Design and Building, 150 Lee Hall, Clemson, SC 29634-0502.'
If you have any questions, call Jane Greene at (864) 656-3414.'
