A Lady's Island woman and her daughter who had just returned home Wednesday night were met at their door by two men who pushed their way inside, struck the mother and held them both at gunpoint, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

The men searched the home on Wildwood Lane, taking an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing, a news release said.

The mother, 52, had a minor head injury and was treated at the scene by EMS workers. Her 14-year-old daughter was unharmed.

The suspects were described as black males wearing all-black clothing, black masks and black gloves.
