The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn will offer summer classes on how to make sweetgrass baskets. The next class will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and again on Aug. 7.
Participants will learn the history of the sweetgrass basket, one of the Lowcountry's best known art forms, from a local Gullah basket maker, according to the museum.
Cost is $65 for adults and $30 for children. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 843-689-6767, ext 223.
