Two more cars in greater Bluffton neighborhoods were stolen and abandoned early Tuesday, continuing a recent trend, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Residents of Canters Circle reported a $37,000 pickup was stolen shortly after 3:30 a.m. The truck had been locked, but the spare keys were in the family's second car, which had been left unlocked, the resident told deputies.
The service OnStar provided a location for the vehicle, which was parked in a driveway on Lake Linden Drive. As the deputy approached the vehicle, a neighbor ran out to report his $3,000 work vehicle, which had been left unlocked with the keys inside, had just been stolen.
That vehicle was recovered at about 9 a.m. Tuesday after it was spotted parked along Buck Island Road.
