The reward for information about a man killed in his Hardeeville home this past summer was raised to $25,000, the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division and the Jasper County Sheriff's Office announced in a news release Friday.

On July 24, John David Huberty, who was in his 20s, was found dead in his home at 150 Night Hawk Lane in the Levy area of Hardeeville, according to a news release. He had been shot once.

A $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible was first offered in October. It was increased to $25,000 Friday.
