Beaufort County engineers are examining deterioration on the original railroad trestle over Huspah Creek in Lobeco, according to a news release.
The county has closed the Lobeco Fishing Pier, 110 Rail Bed Road, until further notice because the pilings that support the trestle are deteriorating. Boaters also are warned to exercise caution in the area, the release states.
