The 266 students of Hilton Head Island High School's Class of 2011 graduated Tuesday in a ceremony in the school's stadium.
Total amount of scholarship money earned by the graduates: $3.7 million.
Speakers: Teacher William Rawl and Principal Amanda O'Nan, as well as the valedictorian and salutatorian. Several other students had leading roles in the ceremony -- Alexandra Orischak, Quintin Smalls, Pamela Jimenez Cruz, Brandon Simmons, Lindsey Clare, Clayton Reed, Diamonique Taylor, Adam Viventi, Haley Thompson, Margo Dill, Madeleine Mayer, Hayden Lovette and Kirsten Hutton.
Valedictorian: Haley Stuligross earned a 5.15 grade point average and plans to study human and organizational development at Vanderbilt University.
Salutatorian: Sean Bartlett earned a 5.03 grade point average and plans to study human and organizational development at Vanderbilt University.
